Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Salty Server Maker (the "Bot") handles data when you use our services. We are committed to keeping your data safe and transparent.

1. Data We Collect

The Bot is designed to collect the minimum amount of data necessary to function:

  • Server IDs: Used to track rate limits and store generated templates.
  • Server Context: When you use the /ask command, the Bot temporarily reads your server's roles, channels, and members to provide the AI with context. This data is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response and is not stored permanently by us.
  • Usage Data: We track how many times a server generates a template to enforce daily limits.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not store message contents, voice chat data, or personal user information. The Bot does not read your messages unless you explicitly use a slash command.

3. Third-Party Services

The Bot interacts with two third-party services:

  • Discord API: To read server structure and apply changes. Subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Gemini API: To process natural language requests and generate server layouts. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

Generated templates are stored in the Bot's memory temporarily so you can use the /build or /refine commands. If the Bot restarts, this temporary memory is cleared. Usage tracking data (for rate limits) is stored locally and can be cleared by server administrators.

5. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please join our support server or contact us through Discord.
